The Norwegian Savings Banks Association is a trade and professional organization for the 110 savings banks in Norway and several foundations. These savings banks have a total asset of NOK 2 517 024 billion (31.12.2009).

The association`s main role is to be a spokesman for savings banks vis-à-vis the authorities and the general public. The association is strongly involved in lobbying activities and in laying the basis for, and promoting, collaboration among savings banks in Norway.
